I’ve been thinking a lot lately how the proliferation of nut farming into rangeland and row crop land around the east and west of the Central Valley may not end until we are in a truly dystopian situation with regard to water and soil. On the one hand we need to support farmers but, as the quote at the top shows, knowing what the land needs complicates things
